Where do you host a monitor server to monitor aws ec2 instances?

    Hi there,

We were using a monitor server in Rackspace to monitor our boxes in aws (us-east-1, us-west-2 and eu-west region) and it turned out that it wasn't too reliable. We also know that for some other vendors the connection to different ec2 regions may not be too good. Do you have any good suggestions?

    Thanks!

I guess you could use one or more proxies hosted in aws, and have your central zabbix server anywhere, and you could add a VPN to the mix for secure connections where needed (iirc, Zabbix doesn't support SSL yet).
