"Enterprise Scalability, Redundancy, HA and DM" in Zabbix 4.2 roadmap

Hi All

We currently have two zabbix types of zabbix server, server and proxy.

I am happy to see "Enterprise Scalability, Redundancy, HA and DM" area will have another enhancement in future version 4.2(R1).

For me, I like to see another type of zabbix server that can accept forwarded/replicated alerts/configuration from regional zabbix servers. (R2).

This will allow us to implement Distributed Monitoring by different IT groups within an company.
Regional zabbix server allow regional admins to do daily zabbix admin and it can forward alerts to centra zabbix server and replicate news hosts addition to central zabbix.

No. Proxy is only proxy and nothing more, and has nothing to with what happens on server from point of view of processing data.
You cannot have monitoring without server central part.

kloczek , thank for the correction on Zabbix terminology.
I am coming from Nagios camp, our Nagios proxy server can allow regional administration and in the mean time passing on alert/metrics data do central Nagios server.
