Zabbix Agent multi-threads (active checks)

As I can see, Zabbix Agent for Windows have many threads for passive checks, but only one thread for active checks, and zabbix_agent.conf have no variables to increase this.

For troubleshooting my server, I need a lot of checks (~500) with a small interval (10 sec).

Any Ideas welcome.

I am with you on this, Zabbix's agent should be multi-threaded on the active checks part.

Now, you could try this:

BufferSend=10
BufferSize=500

This assumes your active checks are fast (likely built-in) ones.

When I had to face a similar situation (pushing tons of monitoring data for a single server), I decided to create my own "active" agent, using the JSON protocol. So, the agent would gather all data (DB metrics in my case), and just push data in batches to Zabbix.
