can a zabbix server monitor 2000+ proxies ?

we are trying to make a solution to monitor a large environment with 2000 DMZ.

each DMZ can not be visit (dynamic IP) from zabbix server.

it looks like only passive proxy can do it.

so here is the question, can a zabbix server monitor 2000+ proxies ?

it definitely works with even more active proxies - i would expect it to work with passive ones, too. of course, each proxy should monitor a small environment only, otherwise server will be overloaded
