Using Zabbix to monitor multiple sites of one company

Hi All.

I would like some guidance. I work in the hospitality sector. One of my clients has over 70 properties and I have a server, switches and AP's at each property.

I would like to monitor my servers, switches and AP's for each property. I have been looking for a monitoring solution and recently found Zabbix. Is this possible? I would just like to monitor the uptime status for each device.

I am using DELL R240's running linux, Cisco switches and Ruckus AP's with a cloud controller.

Your advice and guidance is hugely appreciated.

It's entirely possible, but "how" depends on your network.

Most likely, you central zabbix won't have network access to all devices at each remote site. In that case, you use a zabbix proxy (linux hosted) at each site to gather data and send it back to the central zabbix server.

Just start with a central server and one site, learn as you go :-)
