Zabbix Server with Timescaledb + Proxys?

Hello,

From the documentation the Proxies won't be able to use timescaledb, however...the Zabbix Server can run with TimeScaleDB? (Zabbix Server, FrontEnd and DB / Postgresql are installed on different server), trying to look up into Proxies

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, my previous answer has disappeared...

There is no point in running it in proxies.. you will never have such amount of data there to benefit from TS.... And if it is not supported, then that's it...

So correct me if i'm wrong - that mean there is no support to run TSDB on proxy itself but it's supported scenario to use TSDB on main server with proxies configured on it.
Is that correct?

Server can use PG+TS.. it does not matter what db proxy is using.

I've configured PG+TS on Server, and just postgresql on proxy, and it's working fine

I recommend using the sqlite database for the proxy. It's much easier and more convenient. In case of any problems with the database, simply delete the file and the proxy creates it independently and makes everything necessary.

Yes easy repair. But easy go into problems if you are changing defaults proxy config. If not changing, do not have specific needs then I agree: just use SQLite.
What problem I had with SQLite? After reaching 4GB file size SQLite file get not shrinked and grow nearly until disk full. And yes... easy fix... just stop proxy delete file and run proxy. But after some time this happen again and again and again.
And this is because our proxy collect many data and we wanted ProxyOfflineBuffer to be set to 12 hours (default is 1).
If you expect big SQLite file then "normal DB" is right way. Also classic DB is recommended when proxy NVPS go more than 1K (this second thing is written somewhere in the doc).

You are definitely a "special needs kid" here.. very big buffers etc. But if there's no need for such things, I would also go with SQLite... Exactly as Hamardaban said, basically no maintenance...
