I have upgraded a few weeks back our servers from 6.0lts to 7.0lts our zabbix server was originally communicating successfully with two proxy servers that exist in two separate areas of the network (two data centers) the proxy servers are configured for active not passive.
the proxy servers have both the agent and the proxy server running. agent on port 10050 and proxy on port 10051. I have confirmed with our network guys that it is communicating on port 10051 between the proxy and the front end servers however the proxy is showing as offline in zabbix
there used to be an option to nominate the port for it to talk on under version 6 but that seems to be missing in 7.
I have checked from both servers using nmap and both have port 10050 and 10051 open and accessible from either direction.
This doesn't seem to be a network related issue it seems like zabbix itself is not recognizing the proxy server as online. the proxy is running and listening.
What could the issue be here?
