Inserting custom data in notification emails

    Hi there,
I'd like to insert custom info into e-mail alerts. Let's say, the list of affected customers. But the predefined macros set is quite limited, so probably there is a need to add a custom script call to the Zabbix' function generating alerts...

I wonder, has anybody tried to do such things and how?

    Thanks,
    Leonid

This is probably not the response you are wanting, but I have been doing one of two things:
    1) When it is a single trigger, then I put it in the notes field of the trigger and use that Macro.
    2) When it is a group of possible triggers, then I combine them into groups with the Actions. Of course this method does mean I have several actions that can fire off of a single event, but that was how I did it.

    Hope this helps!
    Have fun!

Actually you may use trigger comments to keep trigger-related information like list of affected customers, contact details, anything. Macro {TRIGGER.COMMENT} is your friend.
