Web scenario from proxy

When?

When is this feature (Web scenario from Zabbix Proxy) coming? 1.8.2 can't do it yet. This will be popular I believe.

It's not in 1.8.3 either, or is it? I can't find a Zabbix Proxy selection anywhere in the Web scenario, and when I set up web monitoring on a host that is normally monitored through a Zabbix Proxy, the web monitoring still goes direct from the Zabbix Server instead. Any way to achieve this?

I registered here for one purpose: to cast a vote for this functionality.

Our use-case:
Monitor network latency (and availability) from various location globally to our websites.

Is this planned for 1.9?

I'd like to cast a vote in favour too. Being able to do application testing via a proxy -- specifically being able to run it in multiple places via proxies to compare -- would be a most welcome feature.

Any update on this from anyone - we are looking at building our own fully-distributed web monitor for global coverage if we can't get this in proxies in the next few months or in version 2. But we hate to do it if we don't have to.

BTW, we also really need a way in Triggers to tell the difference between a DNS error, timeout, return code mismatch, and text mismatch - seems impossible at the moment.
