    Get item value

Is there a way to get the value of an item FROM the ZABBIX server, not from the agent with zabbix_get ?

My goal is to get the value of a trapper item.

    Thanks.

Zabbix_get talks to the server to get the value. The only way you can get it more directly would be to query the SQL database, this would also give you when the item was last updated.

I think not, when you do a zabbix_get on a trapper item you have an "ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED"

Sadly, that has been my experience, too.

We have used direct queries in database to get values sent by clients.
I dont know if exist other way to do this

That's what I do, but I search for a more "clean" way
