Heavy Cpu Load After Update To 1.5.4

    Hello,
    we uprade from 1.5.1 () to 1.5.4.
From this time we have heavy CPU load from MySQL engine:

    top - 20:26:54 up 5 min, 1 user, load average: 13.34, 7.94, 3.37
    Tasks: 185 total, 3 running, 182 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
    Cpu0 : 95.0%us, 1.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 3.0%id, 1.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
    Cpu1 : 97.0%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 2.0%id, 1.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
    Cpu2 : 93.9%us, 1.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 2.0%id, 3.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
    Cpu3 : 91.0%us, 2.0%sy, 1.0%ni, 5.0%id, 1.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
    Mem: 16439788k total, 2658144k used, 13781644k free, 27088k buffers
    Swap: 2031608k total, 0k used, 2031608k free, 454528k cached

    1 root 18 0 10312 680 568 S 0 0.0 0:01.69 init

After start up Zabbix server is not possible stop them - zabbix_server daemon become zombie.
StartDBSyncers=0 help a little (zabbix_server stop OK), performance is little bit better, but still about 80% CPU load...

    HW config:
    - QUAD CORE XEON
    - 16 GB RAM fully buffered
    - HW RAID 0 (www.areca.com.tw) with 6 SATA
    - 64bit CentOS

before uprade CPU util to 20%...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi

I had a similar problem/behaviour. It seemed that the new Server was handling the escalation differently. I deleted all the events and alarms I had in the DB, permitting the Server to "Start from Zero". This helped my getting the trafic/load down! Don't know if this is your problem though!! Just check with debug level on!

I would run that latest build from SVN and make sure to disable all the actions.

I upgraded to 1.5 about 2 weeks ago and have had good success. I have it running in production now.
