getting data into messaging with windows log triggers

Is there a way to get the data that is being collected from my windows application logs to be put into the alert message when it is sent? The manual says that {ITEM.LASTVALUE} should work but it does not look like the macro is even being evaluated as what I see come in the email is exactly {ITEM.LASTVALUE}


Is there another way to get more descriptive messaging in alert messages?

Try: {{HOSTNAME}:{TRIGGER.KEY}.last(0)}
I think that might be what you are looking for.

Putting that in the action message field worked. Thank you. Seems like it should also work if you put it in the comment of the trigger but I could not get that to take.
