    Mining Zabbix data

I see 1.6 boasts the availability of reporting and trending. Are there any 1.6 demo systems online? We have a customer with 1.4, wanting to know things like their top 10 busiest switchports, and how much throughput per month on a given port. Before I start digging in the guts of 1.4's database, is 1.6 going to offer the kind of functionality that I'm looking for?

you'll need to mine the data. I posted some scripts along that line before... let me search...

The zbx_agerage.rb script will give you totals for a key. I will not work with a time window, just from the current time back however many hours you want.

The nice thing is it can reconstruct a total from a value which is stored as a delta. When using delta values don't expect exact precision as some precision may be lost, but the results are a very close approximation.
