Special Processing of Well-known SNMP OIDs

If i look this up in the manual, i can not really understand what's special about this added feature? Maybe i dont understand fully, but what is this feature exactly?

Is there now a more intelligent procedure available to bulk-add IfIn(out)octets for multiple interfaces ? Or is it just the simple name => OID translation that makes it special?

Please expect more details on this in updated Manual coming with 1.6.1. This is about simple OID names and processing of dynamic SNMP indexes.
