Zabbix Proxy questions

I am sur i am asking questions already debated on the forum but i am a little bit confused by all the answers...

On the proxy, the manual says :
1.7.24.22.Added monitoring of Proxy availability
Availability of proxies can be monitored automatically using new internal checks.

What are these internal checks ? How to find'em ?


How often does the proxy sends check results to the master ?
Is it possible to modify this frequency ?

And finally, how to check a proxy performance ?
I mean how to know if the proxy needs more process, adjust them, is late....

As i have found in the manual, there is a parameter "DataSenderFrequency" to put in the conf...
But it is not present in the ...source../misc/conf/zabbix_proxy.conf

Is this parameter correct ?
If yes, could the Zabbix team put it in the sample configuration file for newbie

Ok, I found the "Queue" by proxy.
Is there another way to diagnosticate proxy bottleneck ?

I think I ll need ur answers on those questions.

After working on the proxy, all sounds good but it remains some dark points.
Therefore, the question of proxy performance is very important for me.

I have the same problem.
I used internal chek(zabbix[log]) on a proxy node to get error message of proxy,but it does not works well.
*It works well on zabbix proxy node,but there is not any message catched on zabbix server node.

I'm sorry to insist but is the proxy being still supported in the future ?

It seems like a lot of people are questioning the forum on proxy features but the documentation is quite light...
Is it possible to have more info on how it works, configuration tips, ...

To be sure, is the proxy going to be developped & improved in the next 1.8 or is this feature abandoned ?
I'm asking that because i switched from DM to proxies & everything improved (performance, monitoring, ...)
I'm 200% for proxies !

here is a not exhaustive list of questions/pb/request for proxy :

* no remote command possible on host monitored via proxy
* performance monitoring of the proxy :
is there an item to monitor the proxy perf (need of more pinger/poller) ?
moreover, the queue displayed on the master server is not exact because it counts the non supported items in the queue of the proxy
internal check of proxy ?

* display of non supported items of hosts monitored by a proxy
* is the parameter "DataSenderFrequency" of the zabbix_proxy.conf useful
