1.4 agent with 1.6 server?

I installed zabbix server 1.6.1 via packages on my ubuntu hardy (8.0.4) server via https://launchpad.net/~verwilst/+archive (he also made intrepid (8.10) release available!)
(maybe worth mentioning on the download/binaries page somewhere?)

But I was wondering if the default zabbix 1.4 ubuntu agent on my older ubuntu (7.10 gutsy) machines would be able to connect to the 1.6 server?

Maybe I loose some triggers but would it work? Just wondering. Otherwise I will use the provided binaries from 1.6.

You should have no problems at all. I am doing pretty much the same thing, on RHEL4 server, and some HPUX v1.4 agent binaries.
