I was wondering how I can deactived an item for a host.
For example I have set up the Linux templates which is wonderfull but some servers dont have specific services, for example lets say apache. So it shows down.
I dont wanted to delete the item because I dont want to mess up the general template and not sure how Zabbix works regarding configs yet.
I have read on the manual that if you add or change a item on the template it does on all hosts linked. Does this apply the other way around to or is it safe to delete an item for a specific host?
Maybe there is another way of just marking that item as not be used. the Ack function seems only to confirm something but the item still appears.
