How monitoring elements with ping

Hi anybody,

I would like to know how can I monitoring machines with ping.
I need just ping machines and, if it's not answer, return me an alarm or a map simbol. And i need to generate graphics of disponibility...

Could you please try first, as this is probably one of the most basic tasks within Zabbix? The documentation can probably help you out.
