How can I have Zabbix respect a maintenance window?

for example, I can make an action notify me when a Windows server is unreachable. How do i make it ignore a nightly reboot of all the servers?

I have 30 or so servers, and they are all set to reboot, each at various times, between 10 pm, and 3 am.

This example can still cause false positives. For example, my servers get rebooted by the customer as desired. So I set a trapper item that monitors the start and stop of the reboot process. This works well as a dependency, however, when the host has gone into the "unreachable" state, that dependency gets broken. Now most of my checks are Zabbix Agent checks, but I've got a simple ping running, and that now produces an error that the host is not pingable. Also, I get an alert from Zabbix that the box is unreachable. This is not a desired behavior.

I can set the unreachable timeout to a point that I won't see these messages, because the box reboots in enough time, but this causes another issue. If the box has some OS issue, like it did today, that causes the box to be unresponsive, but still pingable, then I've got to wait for the box to go unreachable before I know it.

Please wait for 1.8. The functionality is already implemented.
