Trigger from external application

Hi,

we have a me-too-product, which monitors internal processes. These processes are code-internal, so you can't see them anywhere! If an error occurs, the "internal-monitor" should trigger an event to zabbix.

Is there any possibility, to start a trigger in zabbix from external programs?

Hmmm... snmp trap?

Perhaps what you are looking for could be a snmp trap? I believe Zabbix handles that.
