    Monitoring Windows Processes

    Hi,

Someone knows if is possible to monitor with Zabbix if a process (that is listed in the Windows Task Manager) is running without developing any script or adding UserParameters on the host being monitored? using only Zabbix Agentd? How can I do it ? I need to monitor the availability of some .exe daemons...help please!

      Use proc.num for this.
e.g. proc.num[explorer.exe] returns the number of explore.exe processes running

One thing I've noticed is that if you are using a 64 bit version of windows you must use the 64 bit version of the client. If you use the 32 bit version it will appear to work but certain metrics will just not show up, or show up wrong.

One thing I know I will need is the ability to find a process, then track it's memory usage (working set size, virtual set size, and page faults are the three I need most).

So in general, once I've found the windows process, are there examples of getting metrics specific to that process?

You will have to enable the logging on the client side and check the log for the query response to see where the problem is.

                    Hi,

Can Zabbix check if the same process is running, but by diferent full path? Examples:
                    C:\Program Files (x86)\Some_Folder_1\same_process.exe
                    C:\Program Files (x86)\Some_Folder_2\same_process.exe
                    C:\Program Files (x86)\Some_Folder_3\same_process.exe
