trigger, action about low free disk

    Hi All,

I installed zabbix agent on linux server and windows 2003 server. They work fine now. Just a little problem, zabbix don't send notification email for low free disk. For other triggerl like machine was restarted or unreachable, I can get email. But for low free disk trigger, zabbix don't send mail on both linux and windows low disk trigger. For example, I set action for trigger "Low free disk space on Template_Linux volume /", and the status is "true" or severity is high, then send email to me. But when the trigger is true, zabbix did not send email to me. Is there anyone know this?

Aother questions is about trigger "Low free disk space on Template_Windows volume c:", the default expression is "{Template_Windows:vfs.fs.size[c:,free].last(0)}<10000", could anyone can tell me what 10000 means? Is it mens 10G? Because I tested on a server, only 64MB left on C driver, but the status of this trigger is still false! How can I make this trigger true if C driver is less than 500MB? Thanks.

    Now it works.

    {Template_Windows:vfs.fs.size[c:,free].last(0)}<10000

    seems doesn't work.

    I changed it to

    {Template_Windows:vfs.fs.size[c:,free].last(0)}<1G

Then the status of the trigger is ture and I got the notification email.

It's 10000 bytes. Now that's what I call low free disk space ;-)

          another option:
          *spesific to windows machine*

          you can add:
          HTML Code:
          PerfCounter = LogicalDisk:PercentFreeSpaceOnC,"\LogicalDisk(C:)\% Free Space",900
          PerfCounter = LogicalDisk:PercentFreeSpaceOnD,"\LogicalDisk(D:)\% Free Space",900
on you zabbix_agentd.conf. And create trigger to alert you when machine has lower then 10% or 5%

          Thanks,
          BEE

            Hi,

            Is this trigger expression correct?:

            {HOSTNAME:vfs.fs.size[/,free].last(0)}<500M

            with a "Custom multiplier" = 1024

That should be fine. If you want to delay your trigger 10 minutes you can enable escalations with 600 seconds period. Take a look:

                    Hi,

I have problem to setup the this trigger (monitoring low disk space) on windows 2008.

                    Here is my configuration:

                    -=Item=-

                    type: zabbix agent
                    key: vfs.file.size[c:,free]
                    type of information: numeric (float)
                    units: GB

                    -=trigger=-
expression: {low disk monitoring for windows:vfs.file.size[c:,free].last(0)}<10G

                    The status said "Not Supported"

Could someone please advise how to fix it?

                    Thanks
                    Ricky

                      Got it working now.

change key: vfs.file.size[c:,free] to key: vfs.fs.size[c:,total]

I'm not quite sure you've got that correct. That's alerting you when the total disk size is over 10GB.

                        ITEMS:
vfs.fs.size[c:,total] is going to give you the overal size of the C drive
vfs.fs.size[c:,pfree] is going to give you the percent of free space
vfs.fs.size[c:,free] is going to give you the size of the free space

                        TRIGGER:
                        {machinename:vfs.fs.size[c:,pfree].last(0)}<5
That will trigger when the disk space percentage is less than 5%

Thanks for the reply. Yeah. I converted from % to total space. That works well
