group uptime percent

I am trying to figure out how to calculate the percentage uptime for a group of hosts, based on "status", or any other single parameter.

management wants to see each group with its representative number of nines (even though some of them are not even close to hitting one nine )

I need to be able to present a screen with something like group-A has been up 70% of the time in the last month group-B has been up 98.95% of the time in the last year, etc.

How do I do this. Any help or examples would be wonderful..

Trying to do the same..

Looking to do the same.. IT services in Zabbix can do that, however, I want to query the database and export the result to ireports or something similiar, since the output from IT services is far from sufficient from a "management report" point of view. Does anyone have an SQL query that can do the same as IT services?
