What does this message mean, and how do I get it to stop. I can monitr stuff on my internal network just fine, but external I have no luck.

It looks like you created a host, and chose the option "connect to dns name".
If this is the case, you need to fill the field DNS Name with the name of the host, and dns should be working in your zabbix server.

Thanks for the reply mate. I feel kind of silly but yeah you are right. I was trying to connect to an IP address but had DNS selected instead. Cheers.
