Zabbix polling time setup

Hi, can i modify zabbix's polling time?
I've seen too many connections towards the switches, data are gathered almost every second, i would like to gather data every 3 or 5 minutes. How can i do that?

You can change the "update interval" for individual items if you want. That should cut down on a bit of the traffic for less dynamic items.
