usb UPS hooked to another server?

Is it possible to monitor an APC ups that is hooked up to another server? The UPS is just a consumer grade unit (backUPS XS 1500 attached via usb) but I am currently monitoring it with apcupsd locally on the server it is hooked to.

Because the UPS does not have an IP would I just use the server as the host IP?

Answering my own question. Yes, you can.

I needed to install apcupsd on the ZABBIX server, like the instructions said, then make some changes to the apcupsd.conf file on the server with the attached UPS to allow the polling of it.

It was all quite simple I was just looking to ZABBIX to do the work when I needed to look to apcupsd instead.
