Instalation of Zabbix v.1.6. - instalation path

Good Morning !
I'm trying to install zabbix v.1.6, but i have a big question :
In the manual i see notes like this :
... Step 9 Configure /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf...
....Step 10 Configure /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf...

but in my instalation don't find etc/zabbix...
y found it in /root/Install/zabbix-1.6.2/misc/conf

it means that zabbix is installed under /root/Install/zabbix-1.6.2... ???
i think that i install wrong zabbix....or is installed ok ..?
How can correct it if is wrong ??
Please, any aclarations ?

Step 8-10
For small installations (up to ten monitored hosts), default parameters are
sufficient. However, you should change default parameters to maximize
performance of ZABBIX. See section [Performance tuning] for more details.

You may take misc/conf/zabbix_server.conf as example.
