Graphs in screens - can i set a custom period other than 1h?

Hi everyone,

sorry if this is an old topic, but I was unable to find a definite answer to the question - how do I change the time period of a graph to something other than 1h? I intend to use this graph in a screen. The version of zabbix is 1.6.2.

This is the last obstacle in me sucessfully "selling" Zabbix to my manager, so I am really keen to make him happy with what he sees on the screen.

Yes, look at the URL for a screen, for example

screens.php?period=3600&inc=3400&elementid=3

gives me screen #3 over the past 1hour 56minutes.

Emn, there is a little calendar icon when you open some screen. There I configured time period to be 1day. And, basically, this setting stays once configured. So if you want to use graphs in screens then this might do it.

universal time period

I have a similar issue. I would like the default time period for all simple graphs/graphs and screens to be 5 hours. How could I go about this? Where is the constant in the PHP files that controls this behavior? Or is there a setting in the GUI to make the universal default time period to be 5 hours?

I see that include/defined.inc.php has a line that controls the default period for at least the latest data simple graphs
define('ZBX_PERIOD_DEFAULT', ZBX_MIN_PERIOD);
I set it to
define('ZBX_PERIOD_DEFAULT', 21600);

and indeed latest data simple graphs now start at 6 hours.
