Is there sound on the Dashboard screen?

If I'm on the trigger screen I see I can get the alert sounds. Is there a way to enable that on the Dashboard view? Or is it supposed to already work like that and I'm just missing something (likely)? I would like to have our help desk leave it parked on the Dashboard and hear the alerts from that screen.

I have a somewhat hacky mod which enables sounds in the dashboard on zabbix 1.6.2, but it could do with some refinement. I do echo the request of the OP though, this would be much appreciated functionality in mainstream Zabbix.
