How to display screen/slide show with rolling start time?

    Hi,

I've set up a number of screens in a slide show which I want to display on a monitor sitting in our hallway. Just to give people an overview of how various systems are running.

This is working fine, but, if I change the range at the bottom of a screen from the default of 1h to 7d - it seems to fix the start time to the current time by default. So the display tends to be as much as 24 hours out of date. Is there any way to get the screen to always display the most recent 7 days of date (i.e. fix the end time to the current time and work back 7 days)?

    Thanks,

    -stephen

I've noticed this as well. I haven't seen as large of a lag as you have, but I've seen at least a 15-30 minute lag time. I only noticed it because I started monitoring a new item, updated the graphs, and it didn't show up on the slide show. I'm running Zabbix Server 1.6.4

Personally, I'd almost rather use the dashboard for that purpose rather than slideshow graphs.

        Hi,

We use both but some folk around here like the graphs

So I agree with you, but I think the default behaviour of the screens should be a rolling window of the specified period ending now, rather than the current behaviour of a rolling window of the specified period starting at the time when the screen was first opened (should I open a bug on this or does the Zabbix team have a reason for the system working this way?).

        Thanks,

        -stephen

Just curious; are these screens carried over from a previous version of Zabbix? I had a screen from 1.4 and it was having this problem. I recreated the screen in 1.6 and now I don't see it happening. It's a bit of a pain, but it might be worth trying.

Nope, fresh install of Zabbix 1.6.4 (first time using it! looks great so far)

Ok, I've done some more testing on this and it appears to happen in the slideshow but not if I select an individual screen.
