snmp error : Type of received value [fxp0] is not suitable for value type

    Hello,
    I'm newbie at snmp.

I did a snmpwalk and an snmpget and finaly I created an item

    But I get an error:
Type of received value [fxp0] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (integer 64bit)]

Is it because (test server) we us a 32bit linux instead 64bit, so it cannot handle 64bit values?

It is for monitoring Netasq Firewall's. Has anyone a template?

    thanx

It all depends on what you are monitoring and it's return values. The error suggests that it is returning a string instead of an integer. Change your "Type of information" to Character and that might fix it. You might also try some of the other types until it returns what you would expect.
