    Hi ufocek,

    I monitor bgpPeerAdminStatus OID=.1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.3

    and bgpPeerState OID=.1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2

    using the BGP4-MIB

    This may also be useful: snmptable -v2c -c public -Os -Cw 70 {ip of host} bgpPeerTable

    Hope that helps.

    MrKen

      That was nearly 5 years ago (2009).
      Yes I did add them manually.

      Not sure if this will work with LLD. If you snmpwalk the above OID, you will find that the complete OID will include the IP addresses of your bgp peers.

      #snmpwalk -v2c -c public xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.3
      BGP4-MIB::bgpPeerAdminStatus.87.110.183.172 = INTEGER: start(2)
      BGP4-MIB::bgpPeerAdminStatus.203.176.130.234 = INTEGER: start(2)

      #snmpwalk -v2c -c public xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.3.87.110.183.172
      BGP4-MIB::bgpPeerAdminStatus.87.110.183.172 = INTEGER: start(2)

        thanks for the reply.

        I just read about v2.2, where complex oids work and it will be possible to add low level discovery for a host to autocreate all bgp neighbours.

        Zabbix offers a lot of methods for data gathering, including SNMP. SNMP has been a popular protocol for many years and probably will stay that way – it’s used on routers, switches, UPS devices, storage arrays and lots of other devices.  Zabbix 2.2 will improve the existing SNMP support in several ways.   Articles in […]

          Could not add bgp neighbours for monitoring.

          Hello, guys. I have been trying to add BGP neighbors in Zabbix 3.2. I tried putting SNMP walk commands but could not locate BGP-related OID. I need to monitor the BGP neighbor status of Cisco ASR 9006. Can yo guys help me? Also, If there is any template option, then please suggest.
