Thank you Clinton. I should have been more clear. I was thinking of monitoring other quantities such as: last scan time, last def update, # found infections, license expiration date, program version number, etc.
Good question, not that I am aware of.
You could do some research, like check and see if kaspersky changes any files in it's program files directory, does it make a new file when it updates, does it change a file name, where does it store quarantained files. You could monitor those directories, it will take some scripting, possibly running some through scheduled tasks.
