IPv6 support

Hi,

www.zabbix.com states "Support of IPv4 and IPv6".
However, when I try to create an host with an IPv6 address, I get "Warning. Field [ip] is not IP". Am I missing something ?

I am currently using Zabbix 1.6.2

What is your IPv6 address? I guess something was wrong with its format.

I have tried again with adresses from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6:
2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334
2001:0db8:85a3:0:0:8a2e:0370:7334
are refused.
2001:db8:85a3::8a2e:370:7334
is accepted.

However, according to IPv6 specification, all of them are correct.

At least, I know now that only the shortest form works with Zabbix.

Thanks for the examples. It helped a lot.

We fixed this problem in pre-1.6.5 (reference ZBX-925). Please wait for the official release of 1.6.5.
