Zabbix 1.6 auto discovery and Map

Hi all,

I am new to Zabbix. Sometime back I used it for testing and left it, now I am on it again.

I have successfully installed version 1.6.4.

I am trying to configure Auto Discovery.

I have 3 hosts in the network. All in the range 192.168.10.1-20. I want zabbix to auto discover them using SNMP.

I set up a rule called "snmprule" . I set Checks as SNMPv1 with community string as "public" (On the client the same community string been set and snmpd is running) and SNMPv2 with community string as "public"

I see no device being detected from autodiscovery.

Also the map only shows the "Zabbix Server" , except that it shows nothing.

Please help me on this.

It would be great if some of the more advanced users would write (or point out) a howto on snmp discovery. I'm stuck with the same problem
