    Zabbix-Transfer-Performance Client/Server

    Hi all!

This weekend our zabbixserver (main-server on our side) stopped getting data because of DSL down. We have 11 proxies at our different customers.

Here is our performance-statistic from dashboard:
    Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates) 280 124 / 7 / 149
    Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported) 5889 5319 / 569 / 1
    Number of triggers (enabled/disabled)[true/unknown/false] 6966 6966 / 0 [326 / 105 / 6535]
Number of users (online) 7 1
Required server performance, new values per second 135.5855 -

Now, it took about 1,5 days to get all data from the proxies to the server. All proxies are configured to store data from last 48h.
The problem is, we (our monitoring) were blind till all data was up2date again.
Beside we had 1000000 triggers "no data" coming up,...

The question is, what can we do to perform the transfer "faster". The datatransfer isn“t limited by uplink-speed at customer or downstream at our side, so I think, zabbix by itself transfers slow.
I have to mention, that all proxies transfer data to our server by an auto-ssh-tunnel. So the hole communication is encrypted.

    What can we do?

    Kind regards,

    Markus.

I have a very similar problem as I just posted a new thread at http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13215

I think that a (ugly) workaround would be to direct transfer data from the Proxy DB to the Server DB using SQL, or maybe copying the database file (as I use sqlite) and then import it later somehow.

This could potentially bring lots of issues, mainly regarding timestamps so I hope someone has already done that in a safe way to guide us
