Windows eventlog syntax ?

Hello.

I've tested a monitoring of windows eventlog. To monitore the "Application" section of the log, I create a zabbix agent (active) item, with eventlog[Application] as key, and log as type.

It's ok, I've the entries... all is ok.

But what surprised me is when I look for "eventlog" in the pdf documentation, to see which options are possible, or how this monitoring of eventlog can be customized... I didn't find it mentionned in the doc.

Has anybody a part of documentation about this ?
Does anybody know why it doesn't appear in the documentation ?

Simply because it is open source documentation. There are a lot of areas that are a bit gray.
