Dynamic graph names, dynamic graph line names

I`m monitoring many devices through SNMP.
Is it possible to have graph names taken from SNMP (ie. interface description)?

It would be very nice to have a graph called "Backup interface" instead of lan0.
Graphs with multiple lines would be more usable with lines named by description not by names put into config.

I know, I`m lazy I can give names to all the interfaces in Zabbix, but having 100+ devices with 4+ interfaces in each it`s a lot of clicking (SNMP query for desc, copy, paste, save, find next interface...) If possible this "dynamic name" would be put into template which will take care of all hosts, graphs, screens etc...

This has been asked for a few times. There was a patch for 1.4 which I made which allowed you to add descriptive names to a graph, but it was never picked up and added.

Switch 1ort 5 isn't quite descriptive enough when you're looking at a screen of multiple switches and ports.

And then there was this one, PATCH: Macros in names of graphs (and elsewhere) http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9553

Hope it makes it into Zabbix 1.8

You should try an SNMP template generator, as that will give the graphs it creates a sensible name.
