    Zabbix Graphs with custom data

    Hi,

I'm new to Zabbix. I see its graphs are very cool and want to put my custom data and let Zabbix display them.

Ideally it'd be like displaying total of transactions (into databases) of the last 2 minutes. So that when there's an increasing number of transactions we'd know.

I've tried googling for a few hours but no lucks. Could someone help ?

    Thanks,

you can specify custom parameters in your zabbix_agent.conf. (UserParameter) Those can be fed by any program or script. You can of course create graphs of them, just as with any other item.

I don't get it, I've just looked at the zabbix_agent.conf but don't quite understand how zabbix aggregate data and to create a graph with it.

FYI, my applications are written in PHP and I'm in needs of displaying a large number of data types on graphs.

        monitor IIS

        Good afternoon,

I wonder if you can track the hits to access an IIS server, what ip accessed, number of hits and pages visited?

        Thank you.

It doesn't. You create items, and add items to graphs. Items may have a custom script as their source of data [amongst other things].

Have a look at the perfmon counters, eg the Exchange 2007 template. There are surely IIS counters in perfmon. Also, it's usually better to create a new thread if the issue you're asking about isn't directly related to the thread you've put the question in.

                monitor IIS

                I do not understand.
                I monitor the access number.
Better would be able to monitor using the IIS log.
                Is it possible?

By 'start', I mean 'create', yes.
