Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit and new network

I've been tasked with moving our Zabbix master server from a production network to a new dmz. Also, they've given me a 64-bit box to put it on. No problems until I transfer the database. All looks good, but my proxies don't communicate. Log says "unknown proxy". A little more investigation reveals the sql query for proxies is different between the 32-bit server and the 64-bit server. Hostids start with a '1' on the 32-bit server and queries use the "between 100000000000000 and 199999999999999" when checking hostids. However, on the 64-bit box, the queries use "between 000000000000000 and 099999999999999" when checking hostids. All the queries fail.

Why?? is it simply a matter of OS difference? Hostnames of the master servers are different since they are on a completely different network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

More information is needed, but it looks like there might be something wrong with the data transfer, or possibly a bug.

How did you perform the data transfer? I don't remember the exact table, but there might be a way to rescue things by changing some host ids around, but that's getting complicated.

I had a mysql dba do a binary transfer and then I did a mysqldump with --single-transaction which both resulted in the same thing. Has anyone ever tried moving their Zabbix Master from a 32-bit system to a 64-bit system? Also across different networks?

Do you use the same configuration file ? (scp oldhost:/etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf newhost:/etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf)

Because it looks like the Node= changed. Looks like it was 1 on the previous install and now is 0 or is commented_out.
