Is there anyway to import a large list of system names and ipaddresses into the Zabbix hosts, other than with the Discovery tool (like a CSV file, or a spreadsheet)?

I was upgrading from 1.8 to 2.0 and what I did was this:
First I exported all my hosts to .XML file.
Configuration - Hosts - (Select all) - Export Selected.
Clean install of 2.0 Appliance.
Configuration - Hosts - (Select all) - Import.
I had to uncheck templates because I got an error.
That worked just fine but I was not able to import my discovery rules, I'm not sure if that's even possible.
