    Using SNMP check

    Hello guys,
it is the very first time I'm using zabbix to monitor SNMP device.

    This is what I've done:

    - creating a template with only one item:

    Type SNMP v2 agent
    OID MIB::sysObjectID.0
    SNMP Community XXXX
    etc... etc...

    - creating a host: ip x.x.x.x, port 161, not monitored, linked to the previous template

    Now:
Item status is active and no error is reported.
Where can I see incoming data? I can't see anything in latest value section.

Am I wrong in using it?

    Thank you.

    hi, manfro
Did you link your host with the template?

Is snmp enabled on the device you want to monitor?

Can you snmpwalk the device from the Zabbix server?

      snmpwalk -v2c -c XXXX x.x.x.x sysObjectID
Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.
