Actions not sending emails

Hi
I have configured simple icmp items to monitor hosts. on the dashbord the triggers display correctly ie when a host is down it shows "problem" . but the Actions are not working , I'm not receiving any emails / notifications. And there is nothing in any of the logs it indicate that emails are being generated.

New note :
I'm now receiving emails for 2 hosts since I changes "Event generation" to "normal" on the trigger, yet there are still others that are showing up on the dash board as unreachable. But I'm still not receiving emails for these hosts. also one of the hosts that I am receiving email for was delete ..

Either there is a bug in this the triggers and actions code or I'm not understanding the operation / work flow correctly ..

notifications are only sent when the problem happens - that is, when an event is generated. if problem happened some time ago and you created action or trigger afterwards, no notification will be sent.

Event in progress

Hi,

I have googled google left and right,but just cant get zabbix to send emails to my google apps account. The triggers and actions has been configured. The notified user's email has been configured to receive alerts for everything from Info to Critical (Don't care just want to see an alert for now). In my events window under actions I see a "action in progress" status now...what does that mean? Is my media email configured correctly?I am using sendmail on the server.Have checked and can send emails from terminal. Someone please help me...Zabbix is really-user friendly,but when it comes to alerting its a real bad boy!
