Historical data validity in IT Services

Hello all.

I have successfully implemented IT Services, but I have a doubt.

Let's assume I have data stored from 30 days ago, and I set up the IT Service one week ago. If I click on "Graph (show)", it displays the attached image, where you can only green bars.

¿Does it mean that my IT Service is OK from all 30 days backwards? I mean, ¿does Zabbix calculate the IT Service backwards in time previous to its setup?

¿From when can I assume the IT Service data as valid?

Hi,

This is a known problem.
Zabbix will happily report that your service was OK even in 2003.
See my post http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showpost...9&postcount=15. It was about IT services in Zabbix 1.4 but, although it has been greatly improved in 1.6, this problem still remains.
I don't know if it has been fixed in 1.8.

Hi, Alixen.

I suposed that. I'm running v.1.6.6 and still have that problem.

At least now I know the problem does exist, and that I can't rely on previous values.

This issue should be undoubtedly fixed, if not in Z1.8 then in Z1.8.1

Don't also forget that that SLA graph shows you the % of time a particular Service/Service aggregate was kept without crossing the threshold you specified
