    trigger & history data

    Hi all,
I have a requirement that create a trigger which compare with a history data (specific day) & set a deviation when the current data out of this deviation, trigger will be TRUE.
    Can Zabbix do that requirement?

    Thanks,
    Dusito

If by specific day you mean always the same day (for instance always compare with the 12nd day of the month, or the previous Tuesday), then no.
Check this one's, if it's good enough for your needs vote for it

    You

"& set a deviation when" - I presume you mean the absolute difference in value between the current and the historical value?
That would be easily done after the former is possible

      Thank for your prompt reply,
I'd like to more detail about our needs for proactive alert:
      - item.last(0) > item.last (#288) + 100 (deviation)
      OR
      - item.last(0) < item.last (#288) - 100 (deviation)
      ==> Trigger become TRUE
288: is as item data of previous day?
Is it possible to define a trigger like that, thank you

        Well, then yes, easily.
You can either compute the #N last value:
        .last(#N) or

        the value last 'seconds ago':
        .last(number_of_sec)

Your example depends on the periodicity you set on your Item refresh rate, thus if using a 5min rate means 5*288=1440min ago (same as 24h ago) and you'd accomplish your objective.

        either that or .last(86400)
