Bulk web scenario creation/import?

Hi,

I'm a complete newbie to Zabbix, but I have read the 1.6 manual and have searched the web but found no answer to this.

I basically want to create a large number of very simple web scenarios in an automated manner. I have a list of approximately 1000 URLs, all on different servers hosting different content. I do not need to pass in any variables. I just want to do very basic monitoring on those URLs. Is there a way to do this without creating each scenario by hand through the GUI?

I was hoping that I would be able to export an example via the Configuration>Export/Import option and use it as a template. The "items" were there, but not the associated scenarios/steps...

Any advice?

while that is not possible with templates/import-export right now, there's some hope to achieve this with api and zabcon. you are welcome to try out zabcon as it stand right now (http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/news/announcing_cli_tool)

You can use my script to do this. It creates templates in the new Zabbix Server, with the names of the hosts in the old one as hint. You need to apply those templates to the actual hosts in the new environment.
