zabbix action after specific intervals of time?

Is there a way to run a trigger automatically after a specified period of time?

I'm trying to trigger an action every X seconds (an hourly action)

Is something like this possible ?

do you mean performing some operation every hour for an active trigger until it is resolved ? if so, escalations should do what you need.

i wanted to run an action every hour regardless of any problems.

Basically, this was supposed to be a shell script that runs some external remote command every hour. Since proxies dont do web monitoring, I was thinking of having a shell script run once per hour, which would check page contents (through the proxy), and do some action (also through the shell script) if the page does/does not load

well, to keep it simple, i'd suggest cronjob + zabbix_sender -> zabbix trapper item
