ZABBIX server is running = No

Hello there,

i got problem with my zabbix server is not running. Please take a look at the img below.

I still cant see the status of my zabbix server up.

What does zabbix_server.log complain about?

You can check two things -

1. Check the "PID" file given by ->>> PID=/var/tmp/$NAME.pid
See if it contains the process-id of your Zabbix server and see if the process is running

2. Check the Zabbix server log file.
The location is given by the zabbix-server configuration file in /etc/zabbix
(assuming you are using the standard location)

Those two should be able to give you some insight into what's happening and help you troubleshoot.

Assuming your distro has locate installed you can search for further files you don't know the whereabouts using
locate file_you_want_to_search

don't forget to run first
updatedb

I think this is pretty self explanatory.

check what you have in field DBPassword in your zabbix_server.conf and if it's your current DB password

What does zabbix_server.log say?

You might find the log in /tmp/ or in /var/log/ or .....

How did you determine that the zabbix server is not running - the GUI frontend or some other way?

Here are three basic things that you can check to start with -
1) Check the server log (see MrKen's reply)
2) Check for the server process (you will find the process id in a "tmp" or "temp" file somewhere, based on your configuration
3) Check for the server port (default of 10051)

my zabbix server does not able to add the hosts . how i can manage my users on zabbix and define the ip addresses on the zabbix server and configure the monitoring network inbond - outbond....etc
