About alerts....

Hi everybody,

I'm new of zabbix and I would like to ask you some questions:

what are the mechanisms with which the server generates alerts?
what are the tables used by these mechanisms?

I need to investigate how alerts are generate by zabbix server: we want to customize some alarms.


some of you have already adopted a similar solution?

Zabbix generates alerts based on the triggers that you have defined.

Look at Configuration --> Triggers. You can customize the triggers to suit your needs.

I have already defined Items and Triggers using configurations area.
Actually I want to know what is the server software component that
verifies triggers and generates alerts.
What is the part of source code that is used by the server component
that performs this task of verification and generation of alarms?.
