    Zabbix Questions

    Hi Chaps,

I have some questions regarding zabbix and whether we can use it here and I hope people dont mind me asking the obvious.

We currently use Kaseya which is a commercial RMM tool which provides remote control functionality, scripting, reporting etc. However the scripting isn't superb and it's really very VERY Windows orientated with very little Mac support and no linux support at all. We would like to use Zabbix alongside Kaseya on our servers, linux and os x based machines, to provide another (better) level of control/alerting/scripting/monitoring etc

Firstly: Is it possible to get a precompiled agent install for OS X clients ?

Secondly: We are also looking at Splunk in order to suck up data from clients servers and keep it offsite (event logs, syslogs etc) and store it in a searchable fashion. Is this something we could use Zabbix for at all ? From what I can see we cant but I thought I would ask.

Lastly: I've read on the forum about Firescope and it's blatant breach of the GPL license. It's a shame that Firescope doesnt give something back as that has been shown to benefit all parties. However, the Firescope version of Zabbix does have some great dashboard and 'business' functionality included in it. Is there a plan to include something similar in Zabbix? What about asking for donations/payment for a business frontend?
